Stoneware slab pot. Chun glaze over tenmoku with wax resist decoration

Dimensions - 21 x 18.5 x 7 cm

John's work is all hand-thrown from a blend of West-country clays, and his pots are often altered while still soft on the wheel. He uses locally sourced ingredients for his subtle stoneware glazes – wood ash, local stone and clays. Decoration is kept to a minimum. He soda-fires in a gas kiln.
