Eleanor Glover

Eleanor Glover

Eleanor Glover is an artist/maker based in Bristol and a long established member of Centrespace, a co-operative of makers and designers. Her early background in book design and wooden toymaking is reflected in her work which spans wooden sculpture, calligraphy and shadow theatre. Wood is her primary material, but others are used to reinforce ideas expressed. Narrative elements and metaphor develop through the process of making, and influences are drawn from her own experiences, observations of life around her, poetry and literature.
She taught as a senior lecturer in graphic design and textiles at degree level and now
works therapeutically with the arts in health and community environments. She has exhibited her work widely in the U.K. and abroad.
