CRAFT LIVE craft education project

The Gloucestershire Guild of Craftsmen is launching an exciting new craft education project in March 2016. The CRAFT LIVE project will give a group of students from six Gloucestershire secondary schools the opportunity to learn about the world of craft and design from professional designer makers from the Guild and to take part in practical workshops.

The Guild shares the vision of Arts Council England that all children should be given the chance to discover their practical abilities and develop their creative talents. By working with the Guild’s professional craftsmen and women the students will hear first-hand about their areas of expertise, learn new craft skills and techniques and gain an insight into how creativity can benefit and lead to future careers.
