Opening on November 5th is the first of a short series of focus exhibitions of lead artist’s work called ‘Makers in Focus’, which begins with work from Joseph James Hartley, winner of the prestigious Business Design Centre New Designer of the Year Award

Joseph designs and makes thoroughly usable objects from the simplest materials, using simple techniques. The results are objects that are pure and honest which feature virtually no decoration or surface treatment.   His products are playful and are intended to be used and enjoyed a lot.

Curated by SIT Director Lizzi Walton and presented by SIT in collaboration with the Gloucestershire Guild of Craftsmen.

Opening November 5th – December 31st
