I took early retirement after a 32 year Career in engineering design and manufacture in 1997.
I studied sculpture for over 2 years, attended courses at West Dean College followed by 3 years studying jewellery design and manufacture at Birmingham University Jewellery School.
Initially working from a studio/workshop in The Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham I design and make silver jewellery to commission. I now live in Cheltenham, my workshop is in Tewkesbury.
The real focus for my current work however, is Stainless Steel “plant forms”. These explore the essential elements of form and structure and do not seek to replicate the natural world but interpret it, through modern materials and joining processes.
Each piece is individually made and therefore becomes a unique piece of modern craftsmanship.
