Hand stitching, mirrored glass, found objects on salvaged furnishing fabric

Dimensions -  15cm x 15cm (30 x 30cm inc mount)

 Cate has a background in fashion textile design and uses this as a starting point for pictures that she loosely describe as embroideries. Using hand stitching and fabric combined with materials such as mirrored glass, metal foils, mother-of-pearl and wire to explores the possibilities of pattern, texture, colour and light. Whenever possible Cate likes to re-use materials.
