Initially I studied Fine Art at Bath Academy of Art and Theatre Design at Sadler’s Wells. After winning an Arts Council Design Award I worked in Rep., Opera and Fringe Theatre. I have also designed for Film and Site-Specific Performance.

In the nineties I completed a Masters in Fashion/Textiles travelling all over England to interview surviving textile printers of the twenties and thirties.

Currently I develop designs using non digital screen printing techniques. I print on to flat pattern pieces which I assemble into garments, scarves and occasional decor pieces. I enjoy combining painterly use of colour with geometry and the challenge of applying dyes to a variety of surfaces.
