The Gloucestershire Guild of Craftsmen is looking for a Manager to run their retail shop/gallery Gloucestershire Guild in the Montpellier district of Cheltenham. This sells contemporary designer crafts made by members of the Guild. Gloucestershire Guild is open six days a week, Monday - Saturday. It is staffed by the full time manager aided by Guild members.

This is an exciting and rewarding position for the right person, someone who is self- motivated, who can maximise sales and achieve the best for the Guild. This person should be able to demonstrate that they have worked in a similar role where they have managed both their own work and that of others (either paid or voluntary) with a high level of competence and good humour.

The person we are looking for should have experience of running a retail shop or gallery with an ability to display stock well, manage staff and Guild members sensitively and
be a good communicator. Preferably the applicant should be familiar with Shopify, both POS and online selling systems and ideally have knowledge of and enthusiasm for contemporary crafts.

Hours: 371⁄2 hours, five days a week with occasional weekend work

Annual Salary: £ 27,300 + bonus incentive

Holiday entitlement: 28 days per annum (includes bank holidays)
