Crafts Alive - Flowers and the Maker - Robyn Hardyman

Eight Guild makers along with sustainable local florists and flower growers have been inspired to create collaborative displays to mark the Flower Festival held at Rodmarton Manor in 1972.

Each collaboration celebrates the skills and creativity of the makers and florists.  It showcases local and regional florists who practice sustainability at every stage of the process, a shared ethos of the Gloucestershire Guild.

Robyn Hardyman has worked with Beth Bruce-Gardner of Honeymoon Fern Flowers

Robyn Hardyman has made a group of porcelain vessels inspired by the classic forms of the ceramics of China and Japan. These are complemented with seasonal flowers and foliage in an arrangement by Beth Bruce-Gardner who takes her inspiration from the Japanese ikebana technique. Both ceramics and flowers, in their pared-back simplicity, are allowed to speak for themselves and invite contemplation.
