Craft Festival Cheltenham is back!

November 26th - 27th at Cheltenham Town Hall

The Gloucestershire Guild is delighted to be taking part again in this established contemporary craft fair. We will be showcasing Guild members work, and members will be demonstrating and giving workshops. Details Below.

Saturday November 26th

10.30am-12.30pm Make a Lavender Heart Christmas Decoration with Liz Lippiatt

Create a unique Christmas decoration which can be customised for a loved one in this design and stencil printing workshop with renowned textile artist Liz Lippiatt.

You will be shown how to create a simple stencil design and to apply it onto natural linen with colour fast and light fast pigment dyes. Try simple techniques and skills to customise your own textiles which can be easily achieved at home.

1.30pm-3.30pm Make a Paper Rose with Corinne Hockley

Working with paper and stitch you will be shown how to construct an oversized paper rose from a simple pattern.

Basic materials will be provided. Feel free to bring any particular paper you would like to use (old books, letters or sheet music) as well as anything you would like to add for extra embellishment such as vintage buttons, lace or treasured trinkets.

10.30am - 12.30 Make a Porcelain Christmas Lantern with Adrian Bates

Learn to hand-build a lantern using the beautiful qualities of porcelain with Adrian Bates, an experienced teacher.

Adrian makes a range of elegant high-fired stoneware ceramics for home and garden.

1.30pm-3.30pm Make an Embroidered Christmas Brooch with Jan Knibbs

Make a decorative brooch with experienced embroiderer, Jan Knibbs.

Use various embroidery techniques, ribbon and beads and any vintage finds/haberdashery you may want to incorporate.

Corinne Hockley - Corinne is a mixed-media textile artist with a background in costume and stage design

Louise Pocock - Louise is a milliner who makes hats by hand inspired by her raw materials of felt, silk and feathers .

Alison Dupernex - Alison makes knitwear using silk, cashmere and tweed yarns as her colour pallet to create wearable art.
