Guild Jewellers Chosen for Prestigious 100 Brooches Exhibition

Work by Guild jewellers Harriet St. Ledger and Sarah Pulvertaft has been chosen for a prestigious exhibition of 100 brooches presented by Goldsmiths’ Fair at Collect 2024 at Somerset House, London.

Presented by the Crafts Council, Collect is celebrating its 20th year and is the leading international fair for contemporary craft and design.

Brooch by Harriet St Leger

Harriet St.Ledger's enamel brooch is inspired by Rodmarton Manor and gardens. The brooch may be worn as a pendant and there is an extra green enamelled circle to slip on the pin to hide it. This relates to the circular lawn in front of the house. The small green ‘lawn’ pendant can also be worn alone.

Sarah Pulvertaft has a pair of brooches from her Memento Vivere - Remember to Live series selected for the exhibition

Memento is a lacey scattering of cubes which describe the circular void left by its companion and is made in 18ct white gold set with 15 diamonds.

Vivere is a circular brooch whose diameter is the size of Memento’s void. Also made in 18ct white gold, its circular frame is filled with rows of cubes which move individually creating subtle undulations on the surface. The faces of 15 of the cubes are set with diamonds, echoing its companion piece.
