Katie has been a self-employed Decorative painter and restorer since 1985. She has always had a passion for Traditional British Folk and Popular art. Originally from Gloucestershire, she travelled around, (sometimes in wagons with horses), painting and restoring interiors, murals, furniture, rides, carts, wagons and clock dials.

Her work, Fairground, Gypsy, and Canal Art, Wood graining and marbling are now on the Heritage Crafts Red list of endangered crafts. Most of her work is commissioned, but she does draw maps and creates occasional smaller pieces for shops. She loves the variety, always learning and never knowing what interesting work is around the corner.
