An installation by Bex Partridge in the atmospheric Chapel at Rodmarton Manor
The Beauty is in the Decay
In this installation Bex will invite us to explore the beauty in the decay. Created with both fresh and dried botanicals, her design will evolve over the course of the craft festival, as each petal, leaf and stem begin their slow decline.
Autumn, a time of fading and letting go, will be invited into the chapel to fill the space with the rich tones and colours synonymous with this season. The chapel will provide a space to slow down and note and appreciate the wild and intricate beauty that nature provides us with. Offering a moment to pause and to be, amongst the very best of the outside world.

Bex Partridge
Bex’s love for nature and florals has been a constant throughout her life and for the past ten years has been working predominately with dried flowers to create installations and designs for private commissions and public spaces. Bex grows and dries many of the stems she chooses to work with and plucks those unique additional flourishes from the wild that surrounds her garden in East Devon.
Bex’s work is intricate and precise, with an organic and wild approach to the aesthetics. She embraces the wabi sabi of the natural world and strives to bring the outside in with her designs. Led by the gentle ebb and flow of the seasons, Bex explores and expands the parameters of what is deemed acceptable when it comes to beauty and decay amongst flowers. She strives to show just how beautiful blooms can be when faded and free of life through her immersive installations and ethereal designs.
