Floral tapestry

Floral tapestry

A William Morris inspired live floral tapestry by floral designer Emma Thistlethwaite of Thistle by Nature.

Taking influence from Morris's Autumn inspired designs, Emma will create a 3D suspended adaptation of the nature filled iconic repeat patterns of 1800s in one of the many beautiful stairwells of Rodmarton Manor.

The installation will use plants, flowers and foliage both live and dried and will mimic the form of a hanging textile tapestry whilst paying homage to the major contributor to the arts and crafts movement, William Morris.

Thistle by Nature is a UK floral design studio founded by Emma Thistlethwaite.

Honing in on 10 years of working with flowers, Emma sees Thistle by Nature as treading between a personal art practice & design offerings for ceremony, set & styling.

Emma works often with themes of circularity & seasonality and is inspired by stories rooted in the landscape & symbolism in the natural world.

Thistle by Nature aims to be a place where nature & concept-led design meet, nurturing what grows between flower arranging and allowing the flowers to arrange us.
