Stoneware ceramics with ash glazes

Dimensions - approx 14cm high x 12.5cm diameter

After training in Winchcombe Pottery Joseph now makes pots at in his small workshop at home in the town. He finds himself drawn to the quiet, subtle effects of layers of ash glazes over handles, edges, ridges and marks in the body of the pot, over and above any elaborate decoration.  The work combines a sensibility for colour and detail with traditionally learnt skills and a respect for tradition.
