Kevin Stamper - New Work Coming to Crafts Alive

Woodworker Kevin Stamper makes pieces that are both beautiful and useful and we think William Morris would have aproved.

Currently, Kevin is developing a new collection of boxes influenced by Cubism and has sent us these images of the work in progress to share with you.

Each piece of sycamore veneer is individually dyed and then precisely cut to shape and size. The pieces are fitted into a temporary frame and stitched together using clear tape and masking tape.  When the veneer mat is finally assembled it is removed from the frame and glued onto the top of the box.

Kevin will bringing the finished collection, in a range of stunning colours, to Crafts Alive - Flowers and the Maker, our five day festival of craft held at Rodmarton Manor in Gloucestershire.

The show runs from Wednesday 10th – Sunday 14th September 2025 and you can purchase tickets here or on the day.
