Our New Guest Maker - Ali Tregaskes

We are thrilled to welcome jeweller Ali Tregaskes to The Gloucestershire Guild as a guest maker.

Ali specialises in etched and oxidised silver jewellery, highlighted with the occasional use of 18ct gold. She uses her own photographs to create etchings for each piece of jewellery, inspired by nature, the sea and architecture.

Based in Ross-on-Wye she brings together nature and creativity to craft pieces that tell a story. Each piece is unique capturing the organic beauty of the natural world through the personal connection of the maker; in taking the image, creating the etching and the piece of jewellery itself.

The silver is etched with nitric acid using a negative image taken from her photographs, a specialised and skilled process.

Ali is a member of the Worcester Guild and working towards the RHS Spring Festival at Malvern Showgrounds in May. See her next at Herefordshire Art Week.
