Congratulations Harriet St Leger!
Congratulations to Harriet St Leger for her fantastic achievement in winning not one, but two prizes in the Goldsmiths’ Crafts and Design Council competition!
The winning brooch is pictured above and received two bronze awards, one for Engravers and Die Casters and another for Enamel.
We asked Harriet to share a little background on her brooch: ‘This piece was made with the help of an award. In 2023 I won the Rodmarton Development Grant and went on a course with renowned enameller Jane Short at West Dean College to help me to learn the engraving technique.
The design is inspired by a Clarice Cliffe plate that I have, which has a flowered dome set in a rectangle.'
